Every classroom in SCL can have its own Moments gallery, filling up through the year with photos and videos of what actually happened in the room. Teachers and administrators upload them; the students in that class and their parents are the ones who see them, and nobody outside the classroom does.Posting is one screen. Staff drag in a set of photos or videos, add a short description and a few keywords, and mention the students who appear, so those children and their parents are told a new moment is waiting. Families open Explore to a grid of their class, view any picture or clip full screen, and like the ones they love.Because every gallery is tied to one classroom and the current academic year, a parent only ever sees their own child's world, and the school keeps a warm, private record that never leaves the families it was meant for. Moments sits alongside private messages, newsletters, and the weekly bulletin in SCL's communication tools.

How Moments Works

A Gallery for Every Class

Every classroom that has Moments switched on gets its own gallery, tied to the current academic year. There is nothing to set up or organize, and each class stays neatly separate from all the others.

Photos and Videos, Together

Staff share still photos and video clips side by side in the same feed, from a birthday party to a science-fair walkthrough. Clips filmed on an iPhone are converted automatically so they play smoothly for every family.

One-Screen Upload Center

The Upload Center accepts a whole set of photos and videos by drag and drop at once, with a live counter showing how much of the classroom's allowance is left. Only teachers and administrators can upload.

Mention the Students Who Appear

As they upload, staff mention the students in each photo or video. Every mentioned student and their parents receive a notification that a new moment featuring them is ready to see.

Keywords That Find a Moment

A few keywords such as Birthday Party or Sports Day can be attached to any moment. Families and staff use them to filter a busy year down to the exact day or event they want.

Explore, a Feed Built to Scroll

Explore lays a classroom's moments out as a clean grid that keeps loading as families scroll. Open any picture or clip full screen to see its description, the students mentioned, and the keywords attached.

Everyone Sees Only Their Own

A parent sees the classrooms their own children belong to, and a student sees only their class. Teachers see the classes they teach and their homeroom, so nobody ever browses a room they are not part of.

A Like Is All a Viewer Can Do

Students and parents can like a moment with a single heart, and that is the only mark they can leave. There are no comments to moderate and nothing for a family to post, so the feed stays calm and safe.

Views and Likes for the Uploader

The staff member who posted a moment can see how many times it was opened and how many likes it earned. It is a quiet read on which memories landed with families, with no heavy dashboards to study.

Moments in the Parent and Student Apps

Families do not need a browser. The full Explore feed lives in the SCL parent and student apps, and each student's dashboard highlights the three most recent moments they were mentioned in.

Mentions Reach the Family Right Away

When a student is mentioned, both that student and their parent get a push notification the moment it is posted. Anyone can turn these alerts on or off from their own notification settings.

Oversight Without Overreach

Administrators can see moments across the grades they oversee, while each classroom only takes part once the school turns Moments on for it. Nothing is public: every photo and video streams to signed-in families only, never to an open link.
