Customization

Branding Your School Name and Logos, and Personalizing Every Automated Email, Message, and SMS

Make SCL Look and Sound Like Your School

Customization is where an administrator makes SCL carry your school's identity. Set the school name and website, upload your large and small logos and a system avatar, and rewrite the wording of every automated email, private message, and SMS the system sends to families.Your name and logos then appear where families actually meet your school: the login screen, automated emails, invoices, student and parent ID cards, and every printed report card. The template editors hand you the subject and body of each notification, with a panel of merge fields that fills in the right name, logo, and detail for each recipient.Beyond branding, SCL bends to how your school already works. Every user picks a light or dark theme, the interface runs in five languages with full right to left Arabic, and administrators tune grading scales, report card templates, and the name of your skills framework. The result is one system that reads as yours.

Branding and Templates

01

School Name and Website

Set your school's name and website once in the Branding screen, and every part of SCL picks them up. Parents see your school's name on the login page, on emails, and at the top of each printed report card.
02

Logos on Every Document

Upload a large logo and a small logo, and SCL prints them where families meet your school: the login screen, automated emails, invoices, student and parent ID cards, and report cards. Uploads are checked for the right size before they save.
03

A System Avatar for New Accounts

Upload a single 512 by 512 avatar that stands in for any account without a profile picture yet. New students and staff look consistent from day one, instead of showing a blank or generic placeholder.
04

Email Templates

Edit the subject and body of any automated email in a rich editor, and drop in merge fields like the recipient's name or your school logo from a built-in panel. Switch each template on or off so families only get the notices you actually send.
05

Message Templates

Edit the wording of the private messages SCL posts to a parent's or student's in-app inbox, with the same merge fields available. Clear, on brand notices reach families without a developer ever touching the template.
06

SMS Templates

Rewrite the text of every automated SMS, using merge fields to personalize each one, so it fits the character count and sounds like your school. When it reaches a parent's phone, the message is short, clear, and unmistakably yours.

Personalize the Experience

07

Light and Dark Themes

Every user sets SCL to a light or dark theme, or lets it follow their device automatically. The choice is personal and saved to each account, so teachers, parents, and students each read the interface the way that suits them.
08

Five Languages, Right to Left

SCL ships in English, Arabic, French, German, and Spanish, and an administrator sets the school's default language. Arabic turns the entire interface right to left, so the app fits schools across the region, not only English speaking ones.
09

Name Your Skills Framework

Rename the skills layer to match your programme, whether you call it ATL, Competencies, or Skills, and set it separately for each school division. The label you choose shows up everywhere skills appear, so the language matches what your teachers already use.
10

Grading Scales for Your Policy

Build the grade boundaries, values, and assessment types each division uses, so SCL scores results against your policy rather than a fixed scale. Report cards then run the same calculation, keeping a grade consistent from the gradebook to the printout.
11

Report Card Templates Per Grade

Assign each grade the report card layout that fits it, from K-12 styles to IB PYP and MYP formats. A coordinator sets the template once, and every card printed for that grade follows the right design.
12

A Dashboard Each User Arranges

Every user resizes, reorders, and closes the widgets on their own dashboard, and switches a chart to the shape they read best. What each person sees first is theirs to arrange, so the home screen stays useful instead of fixed.
